Meet the Masseuse
Zen.Dog Massage was founded in 2016 by Pamela Bass with the goal of bringing peace and relaxation to the canine mind and body. Pamela was born in Chanhassen, MN, but later moved to California and lived in the hills of Los Angeles (Topanga) for 15 years. She graduated from Pierce College in Woodland Hills, CA, with an associate degree in veterinary technology in 2005.
While in California, she worked as a registered veterinary technician and as a UCLA animal health technician for five years before moving back to Minnesota in 2009. She then worked as a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) and held other positions in Minnesota, including a consultant/veterinary technician specialist for ACICS. Her consultant position involved traveling to independent schools to evaluate their programs, which included veterinary technician programs. Pamela is currently obtaining her Small Animal Massage Practitioner (SAMP) Certificate of Achievement from Northwest School of Animal Massage in Fall City, WA.
When she’s not caring for her patients, she and her significant other, Guy, care for her own pets: Cabo San Lucas, her adorable Chihuahua, and constant companion. She also has a tortoise cat named Izzy who is her little dirty (she loves to roll around in break dust and the floor dry under classic cars) mouser. Dogs are truly Pamela’s passion, but she also loves classic and fast cars, so you can either find her at a dog show or at a local car show when she’s not at work.
